Check a column for stiffener plates. If any of the test
fails, stiffeners are required. Select a column size by picking the "COLUMN
SIZE" button. Enter a load and the length of bearing which would usually be the
connection length. Select the DEFAULTS you want to use, A36 or A572 grade 50,
ASD or LRFD design, whether the connection is in tension (+), compression (-) or
Both. Put a check in the box if Wind Load is included or if the Load is
at the Top of the Column. Pick Run to calculate.
